The Anna Maria Island Community Center recently hosted its annual Affaire to Remember, drawing 37 sponsors and 360 attendees — one of its largest crowds ever. The gym was transformed into a sparkling island delight, with champagne flutes to welcome every guest as they arrived. The highlight of the evening: a “surprise” performance by country star Lee Greenwood. Harry’s Continental Kitchen was the caterer, continuing a 20-plus year tradition. The live auction grossed more than $225,000 for the center. On the heels of such a success, the center is already taking reservations for sponsors and tables for next year’s event on April 2.
