Retirement firm chosen for Tidewell

MANATEE — Tidewell Hospice has selected Jay Berman, Fritz Sprenger and Jim Tollerton of Professional Benefits, Inc., of Sarasota as the 403b retirement specialist for its employee retirement plan. The servicing organization will be Lincoln Financial Group’s 403b retirement division.

Tidewell Hospice serves Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties, providing care and support for patients and families with advanced illnesses.

Teltronics Inc. named to VAR 500 List

PALMETTO — Teltronics Inc., a provider of communication solutions and services, has been named to the VAR 500 List of top revenue generating VARs by Channelweb.com. The VAR 500 list represents the largest IT solution providers, integrators and services companies in North America. This marks Teltronics’ fourth consecutive year making this list, and Teltronics 2009 revenue total boosted the ranking by 18 percent as compared to last year’s list.

Port Manatee wins communication award

PALMETTO — For the second time in less than three weeks, Port Manatee’s marketing and communications efforts have been honored for creative excellence, this time by the International Academy of the Visual Arts for its 2010 Communicator Awards competition. The port earned an Award of Excellence for its Deepwater E-Newsletter and an Award of Distinction for the website www.portmanatee.com.

The Communicator Awards competition honors the best communications professionals in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio.

Digital Image Business Solutions wins award

BRADENTON — Digital Image Business Solutions won the American Advertising Federation award for Bradenton CRC logo and stationery design including business cards, letterhead and envelopes.

“We wanted to strengthen our community identity by developing a recognizable brand that communicates the vibrant life at Bradenton CRC,” says Max Vreugdenhil, community outreach chairman. “Digital Image’s staff worked closely with Bradenton CRC to develop a design that is colorful and clean with a dynamic blend of our cross/triangle symbol, a circle, a palm tree, and curving blue wave that provides flexibility for utilization in all aspects of our church identity and image starting with stationery and transitioning into our website, bulletins and all congregational communication.”

Eric Mower ranked among top public relations firms

SARASOTA — PRWeek ranked Eric Mower and Associates Public Relations and Public Affairs No. 30 out of the top PR firms in the country. The ranking, four slots higher on the list than the previous year, is EMA’s best placement in the industry trade’s annual rankings to date.

The rankings are based on U.S. public relations revenue and highlight current public relations staff numbers. Mower and Associates’ Public Relations and Public Affairs Group reported $9.7 million in revenue.
