Sarasota Rowing Club competes at nationals

CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Sarasota Rowing Club sent several participants to the National Youth Rowing Championship, which started Friday and runs through Sunday.

Ryan Houser and Kyle Norder reached the semifinals in the Men’s Youth Division but finished sixth.

Other Sarasota teams qualifying for the semifinals included the Women’s 4x team of Shannon Sims, Mary Beth Bilder, Colleen Wohlrab and Rebecca L’Hote, which was second in its heat; the Men’s Youth 4+ team of Connor Grooms, Sean Murphy, Conor Davenport, Thomas Marryott and Joseph Pantera, which was fourth in its heat; the Women’s Lightweight 4+ team of Arianna Robbins, Katie Allen, Caroline Rawe, Tori Hetman and Julienne Koehler, which was second in its heat; and the Men’s Youth 8+ team of Courtney Berger, Matt Sobotka, Marcel Dupuis, Joshua Schmidt, Hunter Leeming, Andrew KOnecny, Ryan Anderson, Nick Duncan and Dan Corin, which was second in its heat.
