Marauders suffer first defeat

April 15, 2010

Ben Lasater’s bases-loaded single scored Jeremy Synan in the bottom of the 10th inning, and the Jupiter Hammerheads handed the Bradenton Marauders a 3-2 loss Wednesday at Roger Dean Stadium.

It was the first loss of the year for the Marauders (5-1).

Down 2-1 in the seventh, Bradenton drew even when Austin McClune doubled and scored on a wild pitch.

Tony Sanchez and Starling Marte, who came out of the game after being hit by a pitch in the fifth inning, had two hits each for Bradenton.
