Great night at the ballpark in Bradenton

jlembo@bradenton.comApril 13, 2010

— The game temperature was 80 degrees, the breeze was blowing in, and those forecasted showers stayed far, far away.

It was another picturesque night for baseball at McKechnie Field, where the high Single-A Bradenton Marauders played the second home game in team history, a 6-2 win over the Fort Myers Miracle in front of 644 fans.

Those in attendance cheered the Marauders’ two-run rally in the second inning and whooped whenever Marauders starter Nathan Adcock recorded one of his seven strikeouts, and laughed and clapped during the T-shirt toss.

The Marauders head to Jupiter for a three-game series with the Hammerheads, an affiliate of the Florida Marlins, before returning home Friday to face the St. Lucie Mets.
