BRADENTON — Manatee County’s Olympian figure skaters will be receiving the royal hometown treatment April 24.

Caydee Denney, Jeremy Barrett, Amanda Evora and Mark Ladwig, who captured the region’s hearts at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, will serve as the grand marshalls of DeSoto Historical Society’s 2010 Heritage Festival Parade.

“We were all excited to watch them compete in Vancouver and we thought it was important for the community to be able to embrace them in an event that draws the largest crowd in Manatee County,” said Joe Miller, general chairman for DeSoto events. “It’s going to be exciting.”
