The Manatee Association of Realtors recently awarded Professional Realtors Institute of Manatee designations to several agents in recognition for their educational, political and committee efforts at the national, state and local levels in 2009, Four-year recipients were Marie Avery, Norman Copp, Patricia Copp, Erlene Fitzpatrick, Paula Keegan-Bock, Kimberly Mills and Sherry Richardson, all of RE/Max Alliance Group, and Debbie Roth of Rosebay Real Estate.

Three-year recipients were Angie Cegnar of Keller Williams Realty; Barbara Edwards of Scholfield Realty; Barry Grooms of RE/Max Alliance Group; and Geri Kenyon of Kenyon Real Estate. Two-year recipients were Rich Kenyon of Kenyon Real Estate; Rita Smith of Coldwell Banker; and Leslie Wells of Leslie Wells Realty. One-year recipients were Deeana Atkinson of Coldwell Banker; Peggy Christ of RE/Max Alliance Group; Linda Formellaof Manatee River Realty; Robert Grant of All Brokers Realty; Cindy Greco of Wagner Realty; Sharone Martinelli of Wagner Realty; Jerry Piotrowicz of RE/Max Alliance Group; Rod Rawlings of Action Team Real Estate; and Sharon Villars of RE/Max Alliance Group.

Renee Snyder has been named executive director of Habitat for Humanity Sarasota. Since 2007 Snyder has worked as a housing and community development consultant. She served as housing and community development manager for the Laurel Civic Association from 1999-2007. She was also instrumental in the establishment of more than 50 community development and affordable housing projects that included roads, land acquisitions, demolition, rehabilitation and new construction.

Edwin M. Boyer, partner at the firm of Boyer & Jackson, P.A., was named as this year’s Wm. Reece Smith Jr. Public Service Award winner. Boyer serves on the Florida Department of Children and Families Secretary’s Advisory Council on Adult Protective Services and is a vice president of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Joanne Owens of Keller Williams on the Water recently handled the $1.7 million sale of a former model home in Lakewood Ranch. The fully furnished house at 7024 LaCantera Cir. features four bedrooms, six bathrooms and 6,000 square feet.

Jonathon Seniw has joined Eric Mower and Associates’ Sarasota office as an associate art director. Alicia King has joined as assistant account executive – public relations.

Seniw is responsible for developing concepts and campaigns across all types of media, as well as creating collateral materials, brand identity and graphic standards for various clients.

King is responsible for public relations and account management activities, including PR planning and budgeting, maintaining media relationships and event planning for various clients.

Bev Daley of Lake- wood Ranch has been named clinical supervisor for the Bradenton office of Take Care Private Duty Home Health Care. With more than 20 years of nursing experience, Daley will lead and supervise caregivers coordinating clients’ care.

Victoria Horstmann of Duncan Real Estate, Inc. has earned her Florida real estate broker license after eight years as a sales associate.

Christopher J. Reuter has been appointed vice president of science of Osprey Biotechnics, Inc. Reuter joined the company in 2006 as technical director and will continue overseeing quality control and research and development as well as advising on technical aspects of fermentation and manufacturing.

Patrick Hussey has joined Mott & Associates as an insurance specialist. Hussey will handle all levels of insurance needs for the firm’s current clients, including insurance reviews.

Daniel G. Judge III of Honeycomb Co. of America, is the recipient of the Governor’s Community Investment Award for the company’s Honeycomb Project for Youth.

The program provides mentoring, job training and employment for at-risk youth.

Eric Peters has joined First Federal Bank of Florida as vice president and market manager of the Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida market area. He will be responsible for four branch locations and sales activities in Manatee and Sarasota counties. He has an extensive background in banking, commercial lending, residential lending.
