MANATEE — Deputies arrested a Palmetto woman on battery charges after her ex-boyfriend said she hit him with a car, then cut the man’s girlfriend with a box cutter, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.

Ronsheena Mitchell, 19, got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend over their child and lurched her car forward, hitting the man, causing him to roll up and over the hood of the vehicle, the sheriff’s report stated.

Mitchell then sliced open the neck of the man’s girlfriend, who also got into a confrontation with her. Deputies later recovered a box cutter Mitchell used in the attack, according to the sheriff’s report.

Deputies arrested Mitchell on charges of aggravated battery with a motor vehicle and aggravated battery with a box cutter. She was being held on $100,000 bond in the Manatee County jail.
