Cirque du Soleil co-founder Normand Latourelle has created a show called “Cavalia” that will include 60 horses — of 12 different breeds — and 40 acrobats, aerialists, riders, musicians and dancers. There will also be an assortment of multimedia elements.

“Cirque Dreams Illumination”
March 23-28
David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 N. MacInnes Place, Tampa
Take a journey into a city filled with imagination — where residents redefine reality. They dangle from high wires and jump from tall buildings. Featured artists included world-class acrobats, athletes, musicians and more as they dazzle and astound audiences in a colorful spectacle. A pre-show family event will be held on Broadway Family Night, 6:15-6:45 p.m. March 24. The special family night also includes a discount to “Cirque Dreams Illumination.” Receive a free children’s ticket with each adult ticket.
