Mixon’s Concert in the Grove will be 6-9 p.m. March 11 featuring Yesterdayze. Food and beverages are available for purchase. No coolers allowed. Chairs are available or bring your own. A park Open House and a variety of activities will be offered 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 13 featuring old-time music, storytellers, petting corral, quilting, whip cracking and blacksmithing demonstrations, a movie about Cracker Cattle and Cracker Horses, and multiple activities for children. 2010 Dick Coles Memorial Fly-In: MCRC, 7315 71st St. E., Palmetto
The 2010 Dick Coles Memorial Fly-In will be March 12-14 featuring a large variety of aircraft including War Birds, civilian aircraft, trainers, gas-powered, electric-powered and helicopters. There will be a noon demo including a candy drop for the kids, and multiple airplane demonstrations. Food and refreshments are available for purchase. The event is free; $2 donation per car.
