Safe with $10,000 stolen from Manatee convenience store

MANATEE — Deputies are investigating a burglary at a Palmetto convenience store in which a safe with thousands in cash in it was stolen, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.

Sometime between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. this morning, someone cut the lock on the front door of the Palmetto Quick Mart, 4503 U.S. 41 N., and stole a safe with about $10,000 in it. Nothing else was stolen, according to the sheriff’s report.
