Whether it’s the Philharmonic of Poland or the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, there’s symphonic sounds for every ear with the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall’s 2011 Orchestra Series.

The series, just announced, begins January 2011 with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and ends with Russia’s oldest symphonic ensemble — the St. Petersburg Philharmonic in April.

Featured in between those shows are the Philharmonic of Poland in January, Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra in February and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra in March.

The Toronto Symphony engagement will include Bradenton violinist James Ehnes. Soloist Alisa Weilerstein will appear for the St. Petersburg Philharmonic concert.

Subscriptions, which range from $185.50 to $495.80, are now available. Subscribers will receive a 15 percent discount and special subscriber privileges.
