KISSIMMEE — The Manatee High School Sugar ‘Canes finished 13th in high kick at the Universal Dance Association Dance Team Nationals on Sunday.

There were 18 teams that made the finals from the 30-team field in Saturday’s preliminaries.

“The girls did the best they could do,” said director Lori O’Leary.

“Our goal was to make finals and we achieved that. It will help us continue to be better dancers.”

Seminole H.S. was national champion, followed by West Fargo, N.D., in second, and Maine South, Park Ridge, Ill., in third.
