Man found guilty of second-degree murder

BRADENTON - A 31-year-old man today was found guilty of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a man who was holding his baby when he was killed.

Carlos Viera faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced. A tentative sentencing date was set for March 8.

Viera was convicted of killing William Howery, 37, outside his ex-girlfriend's place of employment in the 1200 block of Whitfield Avenue.
