Treasure Sale: Whitfield Presbyterian Church, 7045 North Tamiami Trail, is having a Treasure Sale 9 a.m. -3 p.m. today. Information: 355-0440.

“Tot Shabbat”: Temple Emanu-El, 151 S. McIntosh Road, Sarasota, welcomes young Jewish and interfaith families to “Tot Shabbat” at 10:30 a.m. today. Come celebrate Shabbat with a bagel breakfast, Shabbat prayers, songs and stories with Rabbi Brenner Glickman. “Tot Shabbat,” a free program, is designed for ages 1-6, but all are welcome. Thanksgiving concert: A Musical Celebration of Thanksgiving by Sarasota/Manatee County Adventist Churches is set for 5-6:30 p.m. today at the Sarasota Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5764 Churchill Downs Road, off Clark Road. The public is invited. Refreshments will be provided following the program.

Author to speak: The Brotherhood of Temple Emanu-El, 151 S. McIntosh Road, Sarasota, is set to host local author Rabbi Elaine Rose Glickman for its Brotherhood breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 22. Glickman will talk about and sign copies of her new book, “Sacred Parenting: Jewish Wisdom for Your Family’s Early Years.” Information: 371-2788.

Thanksgiving service: Ellenton United Methodist Church will have a service at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 22 to celebrate the church’s 125 years in ministry.

Holiday bazaar: Temple Beth Israel, 567 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, plans a holiday bazaar 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 22. The event features the debut of the $15 BIW cookbook titled “The Secret Ingredient — Cooking with Beth Israel Women and Friends.” Samples of some of the recipes will be available. Admission is free. Surviving the holidays: The holiday season can be difficult for those experiencing separation, divorce or hurting from the loss of a loved one. Sarasota Baptist Church, 5600 Deer Drive, Lakewood Ranch, is offering a two-hour seminar that will help.

Religious forums: Unity Center for Spiritual Dialogue announces the first meeting in a series of forums. Everyone is welcome to attend this series; fee will be a voluntary love offering. The first meeting of this series addresses the topic “Thanks Giving in Diversity” and will be held 6:30-8 p.m Nov. 23 at Unity Church in the Woods, 4200 32nd St. W., Bradenton.
