BRADENTON — Unemployment in Manatee County saw minor relief in October.
The jobless rate was 12.4 percent, down from 12.7 percent in September, according to labor statistics released by the state today.
Job losses also eased a bit in Sarasota County, where the unemployment rate was 12.2 percent, down from 12.3 in September.
Both counties continue to carry an unemployment rate well above the state’s, which is 11.2 percent for October, up from 11.1 percent.
The U.S. unemployment rate is 10.2 percent.
