Hoop Shoot cranking up for boys, girls

Hoop Shoot is back!

The Elks national free throw competition for boys and girls 8 to 13 begins at three Bradenton gyms beginning next week.

The first is 5:30 p.m. Monday at G.T. Bray.

The others are Dec. 5, 11 a.m. at South County YMCA, 3675 53rd Ave. E., and 1 p.m. at Woodland Baptist Church, 9607 S.R. 70 E.

n Bob Daly says several Hogettes, the dudes who sport women’s dresses, garden party hats and pig snouts, to cheer on the Washington Redskins and raise money for charity, will join the Bradenton/Sarasota Redskins Fan Club 1 p.m. Sunday at The Firkin & Fox, 2505 Manatee Ave. E., to watch the Redskins-Cowboys game.
