Religion Almanac, a roundup of local religious events open to the public, is published weekly in Faith & Values. Deadline for news releases is noon Monday for the Saturday edition. UPCOMING EVENTS

Fall bazaar: Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 5115 Cortez Road, Bradenton, will hold its fall bazaar 7 a.m.-1 p.m. today. Housewares, linens, clothing, books, games, jewelry, furniture and more will be for sale. There will also be an “all-you-can-eat” pancake breakfast 7-9:30 a.m. and lunch 10:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Information: 792-3497.

Bazaar: Holly Berry Bazaar is set for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. today at Episcopal Church of the Annunciation, 4408 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach. Offered for sale will be gifts, collectibles, jewelry, handmade items, baked goods, cutlery, and pickles and jams. Information: Terry Hussey at 792-7183.

Guest speaker: Detective Dan Valentino of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Department will be guest speaker at a family breakfast at 9 a.m. today at the Northminster Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 3131 61st St., Sarasota. There will also be a special music program. Ernie Foelsch will entertain with his singing and guitar.

Crime prevention: A speaker from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office will discuss crime prevention at 9 a.m. today in Fellowship Hall at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 3131 61st St., Sarasota. Information: 355-4729.

Parenting: A live simulcast called “Focus on Parenting” from Colorado’s Focus on the Family will be held 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church, 3006 Ninth Ave W., Bradenton. The pre-event price is $25 and the day of event price is $35. Information: 747-1859 or 795-2178.

Fall festival: A family fall festival will be held 10 a.m.-6 p.m. today at St. Frances X. Cabrini Church, 12001 69th St. E., Parrish. Information: 776-9097.

Holiday bazaar: St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church Ladies Philanthrophic Organization, 7671 North Lockwood Ridge Road, East Manatee, will holds its annual Arts and Crafts Holiday Bazaar 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today at the Hellenic Cultural Center. Planned are Greek pastries, cookbooks, luncheon and church tours. Information: 355-2616.

Mini-golf: Northminister Presbyterian Church is offering adults with children a special deal on mini-golf. For $5, the church’s special 18-hole price, golfers can play at 3 p.m. Nov. 15 at Smuggler’s Cove, 3815 Tamiami Trail. Information: 359-2543.

Fundraising dinner: Braden River Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a harvest dinner and raffle to benefit Adopt-A-Family of Manatee County at 5 p.m. Nov. 15. Proceeds will be used to buy Christmas gifts for children who have been certified by the Adopt-A-Family Agency. Anyone may make a monetary donation, donate a raffle prize, or buy tickets for this event. Raffle winners need not be present to win. Information or raffle tickets: 727-1032 or 704-7858.
