MANATEE -- A 21-year-old Bradenton woman reported she was beaten and robbed as she walked home in the Holiday Heights neighborhood near 48th Avenue West and 20th Street West about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim said a man and a woman approached her in a car and asked for directions to Oneco.

The man punched her several times on the top of her head, causing her to fall to the ground and black out for a few seconds. When she awoke, her $100 purse was missing and she had an Indian head necklace in her hand, possibly from her attacker, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report.

The victim looked down the street and saw the suspect vehicle heading towards 53rd Avenue, but was unable to obtain a license plate number.

She walked home and called a friend who took her to Manatee Memorial Hospital for treatment of a large bump on top of her head.

Investigators said the suspects include a 5-foot-6 man weighing 180 pounds and wearing a sweater and base ball hat and a 5-foot-7woman with short brown hair wearing a sweater, jeans and base ball hat in a green Subaru station wagon.
