MANATEE - A 50-year-old man was seriously injured late Saturday when three suspects used the victim's bicycle to beat him, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The man, who deputies said is homeless, was riding through a trailer park in the 5300 block of 14th Street West about 10:15 p.m. when he was attacked. He apparently had exchanged words with the suspects before he was beaten, the sheriff's office said.

The victim was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg with non-life-threatening injuries.
