Religion Almanac, a roundup of local religious events open to the public, is published weekly in Faith & Values. Deadline for news releases is noon Monday for the Saturday edition. UPCOMING EVENTS

Great Dads: Woodland the Community Church is hosting a “Great Dads Seminar” 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today at the church, 9607 State Road 70 E. The cost is $30 for materials. Information: 538-3135.

Rummage sale: Rogers Community United Methodist Church will hold its Trash and Treasures rummage sale 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. today at the church, 1100 15th St. E., Bradenton. Proceeds will go toward community outreach projects.

SHARE: Sign-up will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. today at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 5115 Cortez Road. Information: 792-3497.

Concert: The Chorus of the Keys will present a barbershop concert at 7 p.m. today at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, 6101 Cortez Road, Bradenton. Tickets: $10 for adults and $5 for students. Information: 794-6229.

Christmas sale: Congregational United Church of Christ, 3700 26th St., Bradenton plans its Christmas sale noon-2 p.m. Nov. 8. Information: 756-1018 or 739-1018.

Anniversary celebration: The Sarasota Manatee Jewish Federation is hosting a community-wide 50th anniversary celebration noon-4 p.m. Nov. 8, at the Federation Campus, 580 McIntosh Road, Sarasota. The free event is open to the public. Information: 371.4546 or visit www.smjf.org.

Choral festival: Christ Church, 4030 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, will host a choral festival with guest organist Marilyn Keiser, and approximately 125-175 singers from 15 churches in Bradenton and Sarasota, at 4 p.m. Nov. 8. The Festival will feature music based on the Psalms. Admission is free.

Concert: Ball Brothers will perform at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at Happy Gospel Church, 1915 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton. An offering will be received. Information: 756-6942.

Appraisals: Ken Davidson of Antiques & Chatchkes will be on hand to appraise antiques beginning at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 11 at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 3131 61st St., Sarasota. The fee to have an appraisal is $3 for one item and $5 for two items.Information: 355-4729.

Concert: The Big-Band sound of The Abe Guard Orchestra will be presented at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, 6101 Cortez Road, Bradenton. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Information: 794-6229.

Musical: Shabbat Alive! returns at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 to Temple Emanu-El, 151 S. McIntosh Road, Sarasota. Shabbat Alive! will be led by Rabbi Brenner J. Glickman and will feature vocalists Deborah Beljan, Michelle Jessogne-Cartlidge, Linda Joffe, and Sam Silverberg. The public is invited. Information: (941) 371-2788.

Fall bazaar: Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 5115 Cortez Road, Bradenton, will hold its fall bazaar 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 14. Housewares, linens, clothing, books, games, jewelry, furniture and more will be for sale. There will also be an “all-you-can-eat” pancake breakfast 7-9:30 a.m.and lunch 10:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Information: 792-3497.
