MANATEE - A 60-year-old man was robbed of his wallet during a home invasion robbery late Tuesday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 11:30 p.m., two masked men entered through the back door of a residence in the 2900 block of Ninth Street East and repeatedly beat the victim about the head. They took his wallet and then fled out the front door, according to the sheriff's office.

The victims two roommates were sitting on the front porch during the robbery, the sheriff's office said.

The victim suffered small cuts to his left temple.
