Bailey wins world singles competition

Jim Bailey of Terra Ceia won the World Singles Competition held Oct. 14-18 at Zephyrhills Betmar.

Bailey, who plays out of Bradenton Shuffle Club, is the president of the Florida Shuffleboard Association.

Other Southwest Coast players at Betmar were Dwayne Cross (fourth), Jerry Curwin (fifth) and Joan Curwin (20th).

Eight nations sent players to this International Shuffleboard Association event. Next year the ISA competition will return to team play in Germany, host nation for the first time.
