Eric Folkens, M.D. and his wife Teri L. Folkens, R.N. have created superior care mixed with today’s state-of-the-art technology and highly-skilled medical personnel at not one but two conveniently located walk-in clinics! Bradenton Urgent Care Walk-In Medical Center was established in October 2008, and Lakewood Ranch Urgent Care Walk-In Medical Center in 2007.
Both facilities offer the lowest self-pay rates of any walk-in clinic in Bradenton, a boon for people with no insurance or high deductibles. Patients from infants to seniors receive reduced self-pay rates for office visits and in-house X-rays, lab work, and prescriptions from the on-site pharmacy. The Urgent Care Medical Centers also accept private insurance and Medicare.
Same day appointments are available, as are walk-ins, for routine check-ups or emergencies. Patients are usually seen and treated often in less than an hour! Both clinics are open 7 days a week, Monday through Saturday 8-8, Sundays 9-6.
Bradenton Urgent Care and Lakewood Urgent Care see everything from sprains, cuts, or broken bones to migraines, flu, or flu shots. Many of the Urgent Care patients use Dr. Folkens or his associate Dr. Jan Gagel as their primary care physician.
