The driving forces behind Rooks Advertising are a passion for advertising accountability and staying on the leading edge of innovation. Like the chess piece depicted on his business card, David Rooks doesn't make a move until he has calculated the effects that will result from his actions. "Plan, act, measure, and modify. That is the key to any successful campaign", says Rooks. "I believe an ad agency must be accountable for its advertising results".

At its core Rooks' agency operates with the belief that: the strategy must define the client's unique selling proposition; the creative must match the corporate culture; and the media must reach its target. Rooks and his co-workers go out of their way to learn as much about their clients' business as they can before launching a campaign.

Established in 2007, Rooks Advertising could be considered in its infancy, but its staff brings decades of advertising experience and the agency has continued to grow despite the current economic climate. It recently expanded its digital marketing division by acquiring Digital Three, a cutting-edge web development company. The acquisition has greatly enhanced the services Rooks Advertising is able to provide its clients. The acquisition has enabled the agency to become a local leader in digital media, providing everything from initial design to search engine optimization. By combining traditional ad design and this new digital component, Rooks Advertising is capable of creating highly functional websites with a stunning aesthetic presence.

Rooks' ability to strategize was acquired over the 22 years he spent in the highly competitive arena of retail. He says the lessons he learned during that time were invaluable, and he is grateful for the opportunities to learn and grow.

When asked "What's next?" Rooks replied, "That's simple, keep learning. A good friend and mentor of mine once told me, 'you must constantly prepare for success' and that's exactly what we do. This industry changes daily and we train daily. It's the only way to stay on top of the most current technology."
