Cardinal Mooney has hired a new baseball coach, according to athletic director Bill Donivan.

Brad Tremitiere, the Cougars pitching coach the last six years, had been tabbed to replace Greg Mulhollen, who stepped down for family reasons, Donivan said.

“It was a good situation,” Donivan said of the school’s decision to hire Tremitiere.

Tremitiere takes over a program that advanced to the Class 3A-Region 3 championship series last year.
