I-75 work to shut down ramps next week

MANATEE — Paving and other work will result in multiple ramp closures on Interstate 75 in Manatee County next week, the Florida Department of Transportation said today.

The 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. closures begin Monday night and will continue through Aug. 3, FDOT said.

Below is a schedule of closures:

Ÿ Monday: Northbound I-75 exit ramp (Exit 217B) to westbound State Road 70. Motorists on northbound I-75 wishing to travel westbound on S.R. 70 are advised to use the S.R. 70 eastbound exit (Exit 217A), travel east to make a U-turn at the intersection of 87th Street East and then continue westbound on S.R. 70.

Ÿ Monday: Southbound I-75 entry ramp from westbound S.R. 70. Motorists on westbound S.R. 70 wishing to travel southbound on I-75 are advised to continue traveling west on S.R. 70 to make a U-turn at the intersection of Tara Boulevard/Creekwood Boulevard, head east on S.R. 70 and enter the other I-75 southbound entry ramp.

Ÿ Tuesday: Northbound I-75 exit ramp (Exit 220A) to eastbound State Road 64. Motorists on northbound I-75 wishing to travel eastbound on S.R. 64 are advised to travel north on I-75 to the S.R. 64 westbound exit ramp (Exit 220B), travel west to make a U-turn at the intersection of 64th Street Court East/66th Street Court East and then continue eastbound on S.R. 64.

Ÿ Tuesday: Northbound I-75 entry ramp from east and westbound S.R. 70.

Motorists on westbound S.R. 70 wishing to travel northbound on I-75 are advised to continue west on S.R. 70 and enter I-75 at the southbound I-75 entry ramp, travel south on I-75 and exit at the University Parkway exit (Exit 213), travel west on University to make a U-turn at the intersection of North Cattlemen Road/Cooper Creek Blvd., then travel east on University and turn onto the I-75 northbound entry ramp and continue north on I-75.

Motorists on eastbound S.R. 70 wishing to travel northbound on I-75 are advised to enter I-75 at the southbound I-75 entry ramp, travel south on I-75 and exit at the University Parkway exit (Exit 213), travel east on University and turn onto the I-75 northbound entry ramp and continue north on I-75.

Ÿ Wednesday: Northbound I-75 exit ramp (Exit 220B) to westbound S.R. 64. Motorists on northbound I-75 wishing to travel westbound on S.R. 64 are advised to use the S.R. 64 eastbound exit (Exit 220A), travel east to make a U-turn at the intersection of Grand Harbour Parkway and then continue westbound on S.R. 64.

Ÿ Wednesday: Northbound I-75 entry ramp from east and westbound S.R. 64.

Motorists on westbound S.R. 64 wishing to travel northbound on I-75 are advised to continue west on S.R. 64 and enter I-75 at the southbound I-75 entry ramp, travel south on I-75 and exit at the S.R. 70 exit (Exit 217), turn east on S.R. 70 to enter the northbound I-75 entry ramp and continue north on I-75.

Motorists on eastbound S.R. 64 wishing to travel northbound on I-75 are advised to enter I-75 at the southbound I-75 entry ramp, travel south and exit at the S.R. 70 exit (Exit 217), turn east on S.R. 70 and enter the northbound I-75 entry ramp and continue north on I-75.
