Molded plastic shaped for child-sized backsides hanging in the stifling heat doesn’t look too comfortable, but for seven-year ride veteran Ray Greer, it’s just fine.

For several months a year, Greer travels around with “the show,” setting up, breaking down, moving on.

When he’s not running the swing ride in towns around Florida, Greer is home in Gibsonton with his family.

What keeps it fresh for Greer?

“Making kids smile,” said Greer, before snuggling back into his swaying resting spot, pulling his cap down over his eyes and getting back to his rest before the next wave of thrill-seeking children comes along.
