Pack an umbrella or slicker just in case, if you’re going to the fireworks on Anna Maria Island tonight.

There’s a 20 percent chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms.

Temperatures will be around 89 degrees, dropping to about 77 after midnight.

Winds will be between 7-14 mph, with gusts of up to 20 mph.

If you’re planning to make a day of it along the Manatee River for the Fourth of July Festival in Palmetto on Satursday, wear sunscreen.

It will be mostly cloudy with a high near 90 degrees. The heat index will be as high as 98.

Expect a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, and winds between 5-15 mph, with guts as high as 21 mph.

If you stick around for the big fireworks display, be prepared for a 20 percent chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms.
