Gulf Coast Rhythm and Rib Fest kicks off tonight

Published: March 13, 2009

The buzz at the Gulf Coast Rhythm and Rib Fest has started at the Manatee County Fair Grounds. One Night Rodeo took the stage at 6 p.m. and local are national barbecue aficionados are serving up their award winning dishes and sauces while a hungry crowd munches on pork and beef and listens to the country sounds filling Mosaic Arena.

While the adults and some families are having fun listening to the sounds of One Night Rodeo, other youngsters have invaded the kids zone where kids are bouncing on inflatable slides, bounce houses and more.

No need to worry if you can't make it tonight, the fest continues through Sunday here with more rhythms. Bands begin playing at 1:30 and One Night Rodeo is scheduled to take the stage again tomorrow at 5:30 followed by KoKo Ray and Molly Hatchet. Sunday's lineup brings G-Force, Eric Darius and others.
