A fatal crash has left a woman dead in Sarasota this morning, according to the Sarasota Police Department.
Police say at 1:30 a.m. this morning, a driver lost control of his vehicle in the 600 block of U.S. 41, causing the vehicle to overturn at least once.
The crash ejected a woman in the car 80 feet. She died at the scene. The driver of the car was found next to the vehicle and emergency workers airlifted him from the scene with non life-threatening injuries.
The identities of the man and woman have not been released.
