What: Maitland Orangewood Christian (0-1) at Saint Stephen's (1-0)

When:: 4:30 p.m. on Friday

The scoop: The Falcons are looking to go two games above .500 for the first time, but will have to make due without receiver/safety Alex Freeland, who tore a tendon in his finger this week. Quarterback Logan Zoller will man both sides of the ball, said coach Matt Kitchie, to assuage the loss of Freeland in the secondary, and Gage Essman will try and fill Freeland's void on offense. Gage's brother, Jared, grabbed an area-best seven catches last week, and Cameron Ayala broke through for 221 rushing yards. The Rams won the Class 1B-District 4 title last season for the first time in program history.

The pick: Maitland Orangewood Christian 14, Saint Stephen's 13.
