A woman was arrested and a man has a warrant out for his arrest after the couple was identified attacking a man this week, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

A man walking down the street was jumped by two men in a car Sunday, according to a report.

A man was in the 500 block of 43rd Street Boulevard West in Palmetto when a woman, 18-year-old Rebecca Parkinson, drove up next to him and began talking to him. She told the other two men in the car to "beat him up and take what you can."

The two attackers got out of the car and began beating him. They took his cigarettes and $10 in cash at about 10:30 p.m.

They then got back in the car and fled.

The man sustained a bump on the back of his head, had two small cuts on his right elbow and small abrasion on his left shoulder blade.

The man was able to identify Parkinson from a drivers license photo. He was also able to identify Richard Roberto, Parkinson's boyfriend, who allegedly participated in the attack.

Parkinson was arrested Friday and Roberto is still at large with a warrant for strong armed robbery. The other man in the attack has yet to be identified.

Parkinson posted a $15,000 bond Saturday on a robbery charge.

Anyone with any information can contact the sheriff's office at 747-3011 or Crimestoppers at (866) 634-TIPS.

Woman missing

MANATEE - Amelia Laeticia Oseguera and her family travel from Port Charlotte to the Midway Flea Market every Sunday, where they run a booth at 10816 U.S. 41 N., Palmetto.

But this Sunday's visit could have put Oseguera in danger.

Oseguera is missing and could have been abducted at the market by a former boyfriend, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report.

At 1:15. p.m. Oseguera's brother, George Diaz Jr., saw his sister possibly being forced into the backseat of an unknown color sport utility vehicle by Wilmer Ordonez, her off-again, on-again boyfriend, the report states.

The SUV, which was parked at the north end of the market, drove northbound along U.S. Highway 41. Ordonez has been living in Tupelo, Miss. with his brother, Javier Ordonez, the report states.

Ordonez knew Oseguera would be at the flea market with her family, the report adds. There were no other witnesses who saw the incident. Anyone with information can contact the sheriff's office at 747-3011 or Crimestoppers at (866) 634-TIPS.

Man captured, bitten

MANATEE - A 37-year-old man battered his girlfriend and was bitten by a deputy's dog when he was caught, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the 1300 block of Idle Wilde Court and arrested Cederick Mitchell on domestic battery charges at 10 a.m. Thursday. He managed to escape from the deputy and fled. A canine helped capture Mitchell, who was treated at Manatee Memorial Hospital for the bite.

Mitchell faces additional charges of resisting without violence, giving a false name, escape and had several out-of-county arrest warrants.

As of Saturday afternoon, he remained in jail on a $55,000 bond.

Motorcyclist injured

MANATEE - A motorcyclist was injured in an accident on 57th Avenue West at 14th Street West south of Bradenton at about 4:30 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

After the accident, emergency personnel flew the injured cyclist to a hospital. His identification and the extent of the injuries were unknown.

The northbound lanes of 14th Street West "has complete road block," the FHP Web site said at 5 p.m.
